Gijón port is one of the most important ports of the European North-Western peninsula and a major worldwide commercial hub.
Access
Located 5 minutes from the motorway and 10 km from the Asturias Industrial and Logistics Activities Area (ZALIA), Gijon port is very easy to access.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE HIGHWAY NUMBER A – 66 / A – 8 (named as “Y”)
Using the Motorway A66/A8 to Gijón, on arriving at Gijón take exit AS 118 TREMAÑES.
Continue driving to the AS 19 TREMAÑES-SOMONTE/CANDAS-LUANCO
Continue on the AS 19 (AVILES-CANDAS-LUANCO), for approximately 3 kms and take the second exit at the first roundabout.
After 2 kms take the second exit at the roundabout onto the AS 19.
Take the exit for CANDAS – LUANCO - GI ABOÑO – EL MUSEL.
Drive 100 meters, at the roundabout take the exit GI 1 ABOÑO.
This road runs alongside a river and coalworks.
After 3kms take a right hand exit “PUERTO EL MUSEL-GIJÓN CENTRO” (Port El Musel). Drive through a tunnel.
Once through the tunnel follow the signs for Gijón – Centro Urbano (Gijón centre of the city). (Parallel to the port from the outside, Eduardo Castro Avenue).
After 3 kms take the third exit at the roundabout into the entrance to the port.
Follow the signage for the Motorway of the Sea.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE ROAD AS 1 (MINNER HIGHWAY)
At the end of the motorway enter into the city taking the Avenida del Llano (Del Llano Avenue), turning to the left into Avenida Gaspar García Laviana (Gaspar García Laviana Avenue). Continue driving, crossing a short tunnel (1 km approximately) to find the Avenida Príncipe de Asturias (Principe de Asturias Avenue).
After passing through the tunnel continue for 500 metres before turning left.
Take the A8/E-70 towards OVIEDO-AVILÉS-CORUÑA.
Once on the motorway A8/E70, take the third exit to TREMAÑES-SOMONTE//CANDAS-LUANCO AS 19.
After 2 kms take the second exit at the roundabout onto the AS 19.
After take the exit for CANDAS – LUANCO - GI ABOÑO – EL MUSEL.
