Dieppe Ferry Port Directions

By Car:

Dieppe is only 121 miles North West of Paris and 41 miles from Rouen. Follow the directions from Rouen city centre along the left bank of the River Seine out of the city and onto the N27.Upon crossing the A29 Motorway A29, follow the directions on the N27 towards Dieppe. The ferry terminal is well sign-posted from the edge of the town.

By bus:

Regular bus services are operated from Dieppe to other major French towns and cities.

From 1 May to 30 September 2012, including Sundays and public holidays, a shuttle will operate between Dieppe ferry terminal, town centre and train station for a €2 fare.
Monday to Sunday:
- Departure from the ferry terminal at 15.00
- Departure from the train station either at 16.00 or 17.00 depending on the day

By Rail: 

The SNCF train station is located in the centre of the town. Upon exiting the station, follow the road straight ahead with the quay on your right. Turn right at the Tourist Information Centre over 2 bridges and follow the harbour wall to your left. The Transmanche Ferry terminal is 500 yards away.

From May to September, a bus service provides a link between the Transmanche Ferries Terminal to the Town centre. Click here for details and schedule.

 

Dieppe Ferry Port

Dieppe is an historic city offering visitors a wide range of entertainment and leisure activities. It is well connected to Paris and other major cities in France through an efficient transport system, making it an ideal destination for holiday makers.

The Dieppe Ferry port is located between the ports of Le Havre and Calais.

Transmanche Ferries, LD Lines’ sister company offers two daily return Newhaven- Dieppe crossings using a comfortable, reliable and modern vessel, the Seven Sisters.

The Dieppe ferry terminal building is equipped with a bar-cafeteria, toilets and disabled facilities.

Car Parking Facilities:

There are parking facilities along the seaside and by the main fishing port. Street parking is also possible from €0.20 for 15mins to €2.00 for the whole day.

Things to Do/Visit:

On certain days it is quite pleasant to wander through the atmospheric fish markets along the old port where produce is sold fresh off the boats. Other points of interest include the Chateau Museum, the Church of Saint Jacques, the Villes et Pays d'Art et d'Histoire and La Cité de la Mer, a centre for scientific research and children’s entertainment.

Dieppe is not only a major commercial and fishing port (France’s number one port for scallops). - The town is also France’s oldest seaside resort and is proud of the fact that has the beach closest to Paris.
